First URBI Workshop 2006

Topic: The URBI workshop is the first gathering of URBI early users among universities and private or public research labs. This workshop will start with a detailed presentation of URBI by its creator, followed by several research talks describing recent programs or results obtained on robotic platforms using URBI. The emphasis will be on the quality of the scientific production and how URBI helped in achieving results faster, more deeply or by suggesting new way of implementing ideas. The workshop will open its doors to a small number of Aibo enthousiasts selected for the originality and quality of a submitted URBI program. More about URBI here: www.urbiforge.com Submission of short abstract and/or Urbi program : Interested participants must send a 300 words abstract describing their current research activity in robotics that use or that could use URBI and/or an URBI program. Theoretical contributions on the URBI language are also welcomed. Based on the submitted material, some participants will have the opportunity to give a short talk about their research and/or a public demonstration of their URBI programs. The workshop is also open to a small number of participants that would just be interested in learning more about URBI. Location: The workshop will be held at ENSTA (Ecole Nationale Supérieur de Techniques Avancées) in Paris and is organized by the Laboratory of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Cognitive Robotics Theme.
