The "Cognitive Robotics" theme at ENSTA ParisTech is at the crossroad of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. We are working on perception and machine learning to endow robots with capabilities to work autonomously and in interaction with humans. One of the main research topic is the problem of grounding symbols in perception in the framework of developmental robotics. We are also working on mobile robot navigation and Human-Robot interaction.

In a more applied context, we also worked in the past on control architectures and we created a scripting interface language for robot control (URBI). See the URBI Workshop'06 presentations. URBI is now developed by a start-up company : GOSTAI.

Our team is also associated with the SIMA team of the Institut des Systèmes Intelligents et de Robotique (ISIR) of Paris VI university.
